We all know Eve saves her romantic streak-ing for Roarke. πŸ˜€ ~Laura

I’m hoping it blows over and they go back to sniping at each other like they used to, instead of groping in maintenance closets.” “You really should try to rein in that wild romantic streak.” || Betrayal in Death (In Death, Book 12)

Her and Feeney are SOOOOOOOO funny talking about them......***eye twitch***

Gotta love Dallas' take on relationships the same way I love her misquotes of common expressions. That Roarke gets her adds to his charm.

Eve has finally excepted Peabody and McNab together. Even though her eyes still twitch when peabody mentions her and McNab having sex.

And Roarke gets her so well! And her odd humor/comments. πŸ˜‚

I think she should put a jar on her desk, like a curse jar. Every time Peabody mentions her intimate life she has to put money in. That would be so perfectly Dallas.

The eye twitching is great. Her befuddlement that comes from their relationship adds a nice touch to the stories.

Eve is still adjusting to loving Roarke and being loved by him. She’s not good at any kind of change so Peabody/McNab is just NOT!!!

I really love the way she reacts πŸ˜‰

Poor Eve, she's no idea what Peabody and McNab will get up to over the next few books. More eye twitches in store ;) xx

Unfortunately, only five In death books are published in Serbia. And rest I read on English. πŸ“–πŸ’œ

It is fun to watch “She-body” and McNabb circle around each other....

That "sniping" was always just foreplay. I don't think Eve knew that. LOL

Just love this series. I simply can’t get enough of this series. You seem to have me addicted to your books. πŸ₯°

I just love these blurbs from the books!

I love it when Peabody talks about her and McNab getting it on...she knows it makes Eve all twitchy!

My favorite book characters, hands down. I am presently in the middle of my yearly re-reading of the entire series. The benefit of old age is that I only remember ‘who done it’ in a handful of the books.

Eve’s best out of two evils!!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

She never got used to them as a couple did she? The real question is whether she will or not πŸ˜‚

Eve couldn't get that lucky, lol.

Such a great cast of characters. Each are unique and add flavor to each book. And make Eve and Rourke more than they were.

Extra eyetwitchingπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β€οΈπŸ“š

So totally agree.

This one- sooo good!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Love her comments πŸ€—

"So there you are playing where’s the soy sausage in the closet, then you break it off with one guy to talk on the ’link with the other.” || Betrayal in Death (In Death, Book 12)

I always LOVE Eve's imagery, but more particularly when she and Feeney try to AVOID imagery when it comes to Peabody and McNab!

WOW...Peabody just was not thinking straight when McNab had her up against the wall when she took the call from Charles...totally agree with McNab on this one...

I was cracking up laughing at this whole scene. She was trying to help and I think it did work πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

love Eve's imagery and simplistic terms putting everything in a nutshell. I felt bad for McNab here and for Peabody. I adore Louise keeping Charles from spilling the beans.

She should have explained to McNab that it was work related. A big error in communication can really gum up the works!!

I get such a kick out of the relationship between Dallas and Peabody!

Eve cracks me up. She acts so tough, bit she can be soft sometimes. Don’t tell anybody!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Eve usually tries to avoid the imagery that is Peabody and McNab. Love the way her eye twitches.

Thoroughly enjoy Eve’s take on common words and phrases! Walking papers?? Pink slip???

I love Eve and Peabody they crack me up!!!

I just finished this one today. 😁😁 I love this scene.

Bad Peabody, bad!! Eve calls it like she sees it!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yes, but Charles wasn't really an "other" - just a friendly shoulder!

That,for me,is totally Eve 😍

I always laugh at this exchange every time I read it.

Got so annoyed with Peabody here, but Eve got me back on track🀣

A concise summation, as we might expect from Eve. :)

I love the conversations between Dallas and Peabody

Absolutely love her imagery. I get a chuckle every time.

Love Eves way of explaining things

She is right. I love how colorful Eve’s dialogue can be.

Eve is funny.

Hi guys. I need help. I need the title of the books where Rourke and Eve went to on holiday in Ireland and one where Peabody was injured. Ive read all of them but I want to re read those two. Opps.. and one more title where the young girl namedNixie was in it. Thanks.

Wow! That would be amazing. Love all things Eve and Rourke ❀️

I'd like to see a scene where Eve gets another officer, (fire commander ?) or two to want her car the famous DLE The look on the face when "Mrs Rorke" calls for another one

Woo to the Hoo as Mavis would say!!

I have read everyone and have them all. But I vote for Eve !

Awesome prize thanks for chance to win

I'm on a kick πŸ“š of going to the library & getting her books πŸ“š LOVE πŸ’—πŸ‘„ them

Thanks for the opportunity

How do they inform you if you win? I'm always leary of scam artists.

Already have them all on my Kindle and love them all.

I have all of them too & all but on hardcover. Now if they were autographed....

Too bad we could not pick which five we could win. I already have those five, so I will not enter. Let someone else have a better chance to win. πŸ™‚

Her interactions with the vending machines are always so amusing!

I do agree with Eve when she says the machines should have a mute button :D x

Hell, I would be beating them up too πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Eve will forever be my favorite character!

Totally understand Eve's attitude toward vending machines

I'd be kicking the d*#! machine, too. Just sayin'. LOL

I can't imagine reacting to a vending machine that lectures me any way but the way Eve does.

I certainly hope vending machines don't talk back in my life time

This should be on a tee shirt.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ This reminds me of my “weight-loss” app - MyfitnessPal. I am working currently on losing some weight & am very ok doing it Slowly! I set the app for just 1/2# wt loss/ wk. Now, I log everything before I eat it. Yes, I am losing wt, but I get so mad when I log 1/2 of a Pink Lady apple into the app & it says, “this item has a large portion of your allowed daily sugar count (unsaid - are you sure you really want to eat it???)” I snark back at the app, “you just go nag the ppl drinking their sodas everyday & leave me alone!!” Yes, I understand it can’t hear me, but I get sooo frustrated with it. Really!! Don’t tell me about a 1/2 of an apple!!! I have my goal in mind, & I am willing to make it work - just don’t nag me!!). πŸ™„ I feel Dallas’ pain - (she’s sooo lucky she’s got skinny genes) - Tech/machines can help us, or drive us crazy; there’s thin line between. πŸ˜‰

I’m surprised Roarke hasn’t had his Vending companies make a special Darling Eve Mode that recognizes her and vends premium pepsi/coffee/chocolate without fussing at her.

Sounds like everything I ate yesterday. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

If my vending machines talked to me this way, I’d kick them WAY more than Eve does!!!

Sometimes you just need chocolate and a cold drink without someone telling you it's not good for you.

The only thing better than the vending machine is the "Candy Thief"

I'm sure our vending machines should tell us the same things πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ xx

Why does she even bother ,auto chef in office and car which we all know Roarke keeps stocked for her

I love her on going troubles with the vending machines. I laugh and think it's not just me. Of corse mine don't talk back yet!

I think I would be like Eve in kicking the vending machines but not because of it not taking my money but because the reading of the nutrition would drive me batty.

I'm a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach....and I say almost the exact same thing when my kids want to eat a "food like substance". I don't stop them but I do make them aware! LOL! (I know, I'm a killjoy!)

Right up there with calorie information from Starbucks and McDonalds- if I was really concerned I wouldn’t be eating at either place

I always have a laugh when I read about Eve’s interactions with vending machines. Especially her latest interaction in Leverage in Death.

Her battle with them is so fun! πŸ˜‚

I love Eve and the never ending vending machine wars ! It cracks me up !

I don’t know which tickles me more; her love/hate relationship with the vending machine or her squabbles with her computer....

There are sparks, then there's the righteous lightning of fury. While this is Peabody's reaction, to be perfectly honest, I was on McNab in this (though his approach to the matter sucked). ~Laura ... See MoreSee Less

“We work together, we have sex together, but we’re not exclusive, and you’ve got no right taking pops at me for talking to a source. And if I want to dance naked on Charles’s tabletop while I do it, it’s none of your damn business.” || Betrayal in Death (In Death, Book 12)

I remember this. I adore Peabody but I was thinking she maybe should’ve said straight up what was going on.

I relisten to the books every month.

I thought they were both being idiots. I’m glad they worked it out, because Peabody and McNab are one of my favorite fictional couples. ❀️

I agree but if he had said he wanted exclusivity then he wouldn't have had that problem. You can't do all your thinking in your head and expect people to know what you want.

I think Peabody thought it was just a sex relationship and going with the flow and was not really into him.. McNabb never said hey let's be exclusive and was always into just having sex and didn't take her out for dinner or have a serious relationship it was all about sex with McNabb. Until he spoke to Roarke and then we knew he was in love with Peabody. So I'm on Peabodys side cause she was just not in to him in the beginning she thought he was an a--hole! Lmao when she gets mad she flips out!!

I bet Charles told Louise right away that he never slept with Peabody

Mcnab has really grown through the books, I felt so bad for him but also was high fiving Peabody in my head

I love Peabody, but I think she should have told McNab that there was nothing was going on with Charles..

I remember this scene. They both had right points and wrong points, but neither one was willing to see from the other's side for a bit. I think it was a good eye-opener for McNab to realize that She-body wasn't just there for the taking, though. :)

I’m with you. She could and should have been honest with him. I guess she just wasn’t secure enough in her relationship with McNabb.

Those 2, Peabody and McNab! What a pair. I get a kick out of Mavis and Leonardo as well.

Yeah, tricky situation. Charles' default is to flirt, but McNab's reaction was a bit over the top - which is totally normal. Glad Peabody didn't cave, though. She can be a marshmallow, but not when it counts! <3

Ahh, the early days in Peabody and McNab’s ‘relationship’! Glad that part was over.Love these two together and how they try to live up to their two role models- Eve and Roarke!!!❀️❀️

Gotta agree with you, Laura. How much angst could have been avoided with some honest communication?

Totally on McNabs side in this. She was plain mean.

Well I’m clearly behind in the books and just got smacked with a major spoiler 😫

I was with Mcnab on this one. I love Peabody but her reaction in this situation was uncalled for, she should have been honest with Ian about her relationship with Charles. Also making a date with an LC in front of the man you're having sex with, work or not, just no.

I thought right away that she should have told Ian the truth. Letting someone believe what isn’t true makes it harder to have them believe you later

Two young lovers finding that path to happiness and togetherness

They needed a conversation - where are we going w this, & where do you want it to go? It would have prevented some of the angst. But they both learned to appreciate each other more, afterward. So, yay. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Peabody, all the way. It wasn't anyone's business what she and Charles were doing.

I absolutely love this series ❀️

I remember that when I was in my 20’s I wasn’t all that smart in my relationships. It’s the learning years. Peabody and McNab both learned from this.

McNab had a right to be pissed but handled all wrong. As smart as Peabody is, sometimes the cop takes over her brain and everything else is gone. Once they got passed this, they were great.
